This course meets all the requirements set by the state of Ohio for persons interested in obtaining their conceal carry permit as mandated by Ohio law and involves classroom instruction with practical training and range instruction.
Upon completion of the is course students will be able to:
- Name, explain and demonstrate the rules for safe handling of a handgun and proper storage practices of handguns and ammunition.
- Demonstrate and explain how to handle ammunition in a safe manner.
- Demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to shoot a handgun in a safe manner.
Students will also receive gun handling training. In addition students will receive range time and live fire experience. Finally students will complete an examination that tests his or her competency.
What to bring:
Students are not required to bring their own handgun but are encouraged to do so along with 100 rounds of "NEW" ammunition designed for their firearm. Please let us know if you do not have a handgun when you register.
